1. Introduction

PressureLog ("the App") is a personal health tracking application for Android. It allows users to manually log and monitor blood pressure, blood sugar, heart rate, and daily water intake — entirely on their own device, without any internet connection.

This Privacy Policy describes what data the App accesses, how that data is used, where it is stored, and how it is protected. It applies to all users of PressureLog on Google Play worldwide.

2. Health Data — Access, Collection, Use, Storage & Deletion

This section addresses Google Play's health data disclosure requirement in full.

2a. What Health Data the App Accesses

PressureLog accesses the following categories of health data, entered manually by the user through the app interface:

  • Blood pressure — systolic reading, diastolic reading, pulse rate, arm used, body position, and optional notes
  • Blood sugar / blood glucose — glucose level in mg/dL or mmol/L, measurement context (fasting, pre-meal, post-meal, bedtime), and optional notes
  • Heart rate — beats per minute (BPM), measurement context (resting, active, recovery), and optional notes
  • Water intake — daily fluid intake in ml or oz, logged per cup or custom amount

PressureLog does not access health data from Android Health Connect, Google Fit, wearable devices, Bluetooth health monitors, or any external source in the current version. All data comes exclusively from manual user entry.

2b. How Health Data Is Collected

Health data is collected at the moment the user manually enters a reading and taps Save within the app. No data is collected automatically, passively, or in the background. No sensors are used. No device hardware is accessed beyond what the user explicitly initiates.

2c. How Health Data Is Used

Health data entered by the user is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Display — showing the user their current and historical readings within the app
  • Trend charts — generating 7-day, 30-day, and 90-day visual trend charts for each health metric
  • Classification — categorising blood pressure readings using American Heart Association (AHA) 2017 guidelines (Normal / Elevated / High Stage 1 / High Stage 2 / Crisis)
  • PDF reports — generating a doctor-ready health summary PDF that the user can share directly from their device
  • Reminders — delivering user-configured notifications to remind them to log their readings at chosen times

Health data is never used for advertising, profiling, analytics, research, or any purpose other than those listed above.

2d. How Health Data Is Stored

All health data is stored exclusively in a local SQLite database (Android Room) on the user's device. This data:

  • Never leaves the user's device
  • Is not uploaded to any server
  • Is not accessible to BlueOzil Tech or any third party
  • Is not shared with any person, company, or service
  • Is not used to build a profile on the user

2e. How Health Data Is Deleted

All locally stored health data is permanently and irrecoverably deleted from the device when the user uninstalls PressureLog. Individual readings can also be deleted by the user at any time from within the app.

Note on Android Auto Backup: Android may back up app data to the user's personal Google Account as part of the operating system's built-in backup feature. This backup belongs to the user and goes to their own Google Account — not to BlueOzil Tech. BlueOzil Tech has no access to this backup. Users can disable this for PressureLog under: Settings → Google → Backup.

3. Non-Health Data — What We Collect

We collect no personal information of any kind.

Beyond the health data described in Section 2 (which stays on your device), PressureLog does not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, or contact details
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • IP addresses or network information
  • Location data
  • Usage statistics or analytics
  • Crash reports or diagnostic data
  • Any other personal or sensitive information

There is no user account, no registration, and no login required to use PressureLog.

4. Advertising & Third-Party SDKs

Our app uses Google AdMob and Facebook Audience Network (Meta) as advertising partners. These SDKs may collect the following data from your device:

  • Device identifiers (Advertising ID, Android ID)
  • Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
  • Approximate location (IP-based)
  • App interaction data (impressions, clicks, app usage)
  • Crash logs and performance diagnostics

This data is collected and shared with Google and Meta for the purpose of serving personalized advertisements, analytics, and app performance monitoring.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

No third party has access to any data entered into PressureLog because that data never leaves the device.

5. Google Play Billing

PressureLog offers an optional one-time Pro upgrade processed entirely by Google Play Billing. If a user makes a purchase:

  • All payment processing is handled by Google LLC
  • BlueOzil Tech never receives, sees, or stores any payment information (card details, bank information, etc.)
  • The only signal received is a purchase confirmation token from Google, used solely to unlock Pro features
  • Google's handling of payment data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

6. Permissions

PressureLog requests only the following permissions:

Permission Purpose
POST_NOTIFICATIONS Deliver user-configured reminders to log readings
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM Fire reminders at the precise time the user sets
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED Reschedule reminders after the device restarts

Permissions the App does NOT use:

No permission is used to collect, access, or transmit personal or health data.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

PressureLog is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Since the App collects no personal information from any user, no data from children exists on our systems. If a parent or guardian believes their child has entered data into the App, they may contact us at blueoziltech@gmail.com. All data can be cleared by uninstalling the App from the device.

8. User Rights

EU / EEA Users (GDPR)

PressureLog does not process personal data within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Since no data is transmitted to or held by BlueOzil Tech, no legal basis for processing is required and no data subject rights apply to data held by the developer — because no such data exists. All data remains under the user's own control on their device.

California Users (CCPA / CPRA)

BlueOzil Tech does not sell personal information. BlueOzil Tech does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. No personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act is collected by this App.

UK Users (UK GDPR)

The same zero-collection principle applies. BlueOzil Tech holds no personal data about UK users.

Canadian Users (PIPEDA)

No personal information is collected, used, or disclosed by this App within the meaning of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

Australian Users (Privacy Act 1988)

No personal information is collected or held by BlueOzil Tech. All health data entered into the App remains on the user's device only.

9. Data Retention

Health data and all other app data is retained on the user's device for as long as the App is installed. The user may delete individual readings at any time within the App. All data is permanently deleted when the App is uninstalled.

BlueOzil Tech does not retain any user data because no user data is ever transmitted to BlueOzil Tech.

10. Security

Because all data is stored locally on the user's device and no server infrastructure is used by BlueOzil Tech, there is no risk of a server-side breach exposing user health data. The security of locally stored data depends on the security of the user's device, including screen lock and device encryption settings managed by the user and Android operating system.

BlueOzil Tech recommends users enable device encryption and screen lock to protect locally stored health data.

11. Medical Disclaimer

PressureLog is a personal logging tool for informational purposes only. It is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Reading classifications shown in the App (such as AHA blood pressure categories) are provided for general reference only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding your health readings and any medical decisions.

12. Changes to This Policy

BlueOzil Tech may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage users to review this page periodically.
